Our first time in Budapest we were looking for cheap accommodation in the city center if possible and we started looking for options. We ended up in Air Bnb. I have never used it before so I was a bit on alert to know what was about.
I found a great appartment in the city center of Budapest, we paid 100 euros for 3 nights and it was an appartment for two, great for couples, cosy studio with a kitchen and in a lovely area.
We met our host Mike, he was very nice to us he brought a map to explain us his favorite spots on the city and also welcomed us with his favorite red hungarian wine (that was amazing actually, a pitty we could not find it anywhere as we would have bought a bottle).
The appartment has a very fast wifi, that's great for travel freaks like us that want to stay connected after a long day walking around. There is an open kitchen with a fridge, kichenette, toaster and kettle.
There is also a washing machine in the bathroom, so it is also a good option if you are staying a week or more in the city. We went on January so we really appreciated the heater that was very good, it kept the house very warm.
The appartment is right in the city center very near of everything, you can walk along the center and it is also less than 5 min from the underground, the underground stop near the appartment is called Deák Ferenc Tér. This stop is where all three underground lines of Budapest meet, so it is the perfect spot to go around.
There is a supermarket near the appartment and also very nice shops around Károly street. The apartment is very near the ruin bars of Budapest, at walking distance and surrounded of restaurants and bars. For us it was just perfect.
We loved it, so we are sure we will be back in our next visit to Budapest.
