MUHBA Museum in Barcelona: visit the roman Barcino

On the underground, meters down to the Barcelona we know lies the Roman Empire: Barcino. Barcino is inside of MUHBA, the History Museum of the city, is one of my favorite museums. As part of free entrance museums every 1st Sunday of the month, we took advantage of free things to do in Barcelona and went to visit the museum again. Right in la Plaça del Rei, in a historic complex one of MUHBA buildings is located, this museum is special as allows you to go down medieval Barcelona. Barcelona is a city that has been built in layers, so the more you go down the oldest the city is. My recommendation is to do a guided tour, unless you are very familiar with Roman buildings, ruins and the history of Barcelona if you go on your own you will only see stones around. …
