Christmas is around the corner, and this reminds me of London, freezing, snowing and of course Hyde Park Winter Wonderland market. When I lived there I was surprised on how seriously British people take Christmas. All shops, streets, everyone is so into Christmas decorations and all... Check out  Christmas markets around the world, you might be surprised.

There are different Christmas markets in London but one of the must see markets is Winter Wonderland or Santa Land that year after year is built in Hyde Park near Marble Arch. It is a little Christmas city. There are attractions and activities for kids, and is perfect to have family time in there. Winter Wonderland opens on 23rd November, so still some days to go.

There are also shops to get your Christmas gifts, Christmas decorations, and food as well. There is mulled wine, french crêpes, caramel apples and all kind of sweets.

And also there is something that is the star of Winter Wonderland: Ice skating in a spectacular ice rink, it is very popular so you better book in advance if you think of getting the skates on. It is recommended to book in advance and also arrive 20 minutes before your session so you can get ready for the experience.

In London around Christmas, it is very typical Ice skating rinks, not only the one in Winter Wonderland but also Sommerset House, Canary Wharf, Hampton Court etc...Check out this article on Ice skating in London.

It is the perfect spot for families and friends as in the same area has attractions for kids but not only kids also adults, you can eat and enjoy snacks but also go shopping around. It is a mix of needs and activities that can be done in the same place.

I loved going there around Christmas to go for a walk and smell this Christmas atmosphere while having a Nutella crêpe with some hot chocolate.

Do not miss it, is a very nice experience!
