Most festival a great initiative in Penedès, a very well known area with a long winemaking tradition in Catalonia. This annual festival combines wine and cinema, it showcases the best international films/documentaries linked to viniculture wine or cava. Penedès region is known by his wine traiditon and also by the quality of wine and tourism related activities linked to the wine industry.

I had the chance to assist to the inauguration of Most Festival in Barcelona watching a documentary called Red Obsession. The inauguration started of course with some cava and followed by Penedès wine.

After some delish treats we could enjoy Red Obsession, a documentary about the importance of Bordeaux wine. Wine was always seen as a symbol of wealth, power and influence, although it is also a middle class product nowadays.

China has woken up and discovered wine, traditional markets that bought wine were UK and USA. The interest in wine chinese people have is pushing prices to the highest ever in history. The chinese market has turned wine into a valuable thing to trade arriving to the highest prices in history and being comparable to collect gold or diamonds. In this trailer you can taste what the film is about, narrated by Russel Crowe.

Most festival is held during the European Wine Tourism Day, the best choice to celebrate with their agenda and activities during all weekend from 7th to 10th November. This is the 3rd edition and more years to come, so stay tunned for next year festival and what they have to offer.

I totally recommended it, it is a good opportunity to visit Penedès area and try their amazing wines, do not miss the opportunity.
