In our trip to Thailand we had our flight from Madrid to Amman and then Amman to Bangkok flying with Royal Jordanian. Our trip started in Madrid on the drop off luggage desk where we met the rudest man ever. We were travelling with our bag pack, due to the kind of luggage not being hard enough we had to put them in a plastic tray and wrapped up for safety.

The agent at the desk was very rude with us telling us we should have known already what needed to be done. Anyway, I forgot about that as we were so exited about our trip but the story goes on.

First plane Madrid-Amman-Bangkok

We got into the plane, the plane was very new and we even had usb chargers on the plane which was great and we could plug in our ipad and kindle.

The staff was not very kind, for me is important the smile on the service and good manners, they were quite straight with no smile at all. We found that in all staff in Royal Jordanian. I have worked in international hospitality companies and I didn't find the basics of customer facing skills.

The food, I found it totally bland, no flavour whatsoever. It was no pleasure to eat, I can understand that it might be difficult the every day service but we were given food right after we were in the flight. It didn't seem appropriate to have lunch right after you enter the plane. There were three choices of food : fish, meat and chicken. I went for chicken all times as the other dishes honestly didn't seem an option at all...

We even were asleep when there was a food service and the flight attendant woke us up so we could give us the tray.

Going to Bangkok it was 9 hours flight and luckily we could sleep all the way through although the plane was filthy and old, thank God that we could sleep as our next flight was not as pleasant.

Return flight Bangkok-Amman-Frankfurt- Barcelona

Bangkok-Amman was ok, old plane as all the others except the first one and for the same price we got a plane with no space for the feet and also chewing gum that said hi in front of us. Great start!

The funny thing started on the Amman-Frankfurt flight, when we get in the plane we go to our sets and we find a boy sleeping on the floor of our seats. We start looking around to see if the parents come to pick up the child as we could not even seat.

We see that the woman in the row behind us starts yelling in jordanian and very angry comes to pick up the boy who wakes up and starts crying. This was around 3am in the morning when we got into the plane so not vey happy about the situation.

The staff did nothing at all so we solved the situation ourselves. The lady behind us was travelling with 5 kids that were a nightmare, rude, kicking our seats, yelling etc...for 9 precious hours so we were more than pissed.

And of course rude staff and bland food as a garnishment so not very exited to flight with them ever again if I can avoid it by all means.

Moreover, I am not a first class lady but I truly thought when passing by the Crown seats that they were far from first class, they cost a fortune and they are not what I thought they would be at all.

So, no more Royal Jordanian ever again. If you have flown with them I would love to hear your opinion, I had an awful experience in my all 4 flights.
