A honeymoon photoshoot in Bali was the perfect gift after the wedding stressful days and our honeymoon trip was just the perfect moment to have Bali pictures with us together, we were so relaxed and in the holiday mood.
We decided to go with Flytographer, these guys are specialized in photo shoots all around the world, they offer them in 130 destinations. Special occasions are worth to have them in professional pictures, we were first timers so we were all exited about it.
Our photographers Vony and Bayu helped in deciding what would be a good scenario for our shoot, we wanted some nature and we went to the Monkey Forest in Ubud. We wanted natural pictures of us, we are not the clown type couple so we knew it had to be a shoot about us being comfortable and being ourselves with each other.
The Monkey forest in Ubud was our scenario for the shoot, and it couldnt be better, there are amazing spots inside the forest that were just perfect for our shoot.
We woke up quite early on the day of the shoot to take advantage of the light in the first hours of the morning, and it was really worth it. Being in the middle of the forest almost all for ourselves it was magic and it seemed like the light was just perfect for what we wanted to accomplish.
In the Monkey Forest in Ubud there are good places for shoots, temples, stones, century old trees, paths full of green... I was not very keen with the idea of monkeys, I am not an animal fan and specially when they are wild and have a horrendous fame to steal your belongings.
I explained to our photographers my not very kind concept of monkeys before the shoot and they started laughing as the name of Monkey Forest is not by chance... There are literally hundreds of monkeys all around, but since I am not afraid, it is just that I prefer to have them far from me, everything went fine.
We even had a funny moment with the monkeys that Vony and Bayu captured, we were sitting in a bench and all of a sudden I was surrounded by them... I think they smell that I don't like them and they come to make me change my mind.
Flytographer professional photo shoot in Bali
Our shoot session in Bali had a duration of 1 hour and it had a cost of 350$, we got 32 pictures with high resolution from the shoot, some in color and some others in black and white.
I was very happy with the result of the pics and I they took the best side of us. The only thing that I found is that I would have loved to see the full set of pictures done and choose the ones I wanted. I can't really complain since they already tell you about that in their FAQ in advance, but I really think this could enhance the experience. I recommend you to go through them so you are aware of the all the information regarding the shoot and your pictures, one important bit is that you don't own the pictures, you can use them for personal use but not commercial.

I think we reached our goal with our honeymoon shoot and the end result are lovely pictures about us where you can see our love and our smiles in a lovely forest. We had some guidance on what to do so we could have some different kind of pictures, candid and as natural as possible. We had fun during the shoot and some precious moments were captured as well, you can see how we looked at each other and this shows in our pics.
If you happen to have a special occasion and you would like photos being done during your holidays or in your own city I recommend you book with Flytographer. They have special photoshoot packages for proposals, so if you are thinking about it, it is a great occasion to have photos of the moment. They offer shoots from 30 minutes (250$) to 90 minutes (450$) and you can add additional 30 min for each of the packages for 150$.
Disclaimer: I received a media discount with Flytographer to use their services for our honeymoon photoshoot in Bali. As always the opinion is my own.
