As you know I lived in London for some time, but it is when you visit a place when you discover more about it and this time I went back to London for some days this month and I discovered a new place in Covent Garden: Stanfords travel bookstore.

Stanfords travel bookstore in Covent Garden is known to be the biggest travel bookstore in the world. They have a large selection of world maps, guides, travel books and travel gadgets. I loved their section of furniture for travel lovers, with furniture made with suitcases and maps. It is not only a great place to inspire to travel but also full of resources of all kinds.

They have an incredible collection of travel guides of all brands: lonely planet, rough guides, marco polo, baedecker, eye witness travel guides, bradt travel guides, wallpaper city guides etc...

The travel bookstore has maps on the floor all around the store, the store has three different floors that divide the different countries/continents of the world. The Long Acre store in Covent garden opened in 1901, is considered the biggest travel bookshop in the world with the largest collection of maps, books, travel accessories and globes under one roof.

I am glad that in Barcelona we do have a wide selection of travel books and travel guides, my favorite travel bookstore and the biggest one is Altaïr.

I am a travel guide geek, and I always buy my travel guide before travelling and I was very inspired in the travel book shop discover.
