How to sum up a whole year of travel experiences, so here I am trying to. I enjoyed so much this year discovering new places, meeting new people and going around Europe with friends and my partner.
Berlin: enjoying beer
I haven't writen any post on Berlin actually but back in January we went to Berlin. We enjoyed the beers certainly, food and warm cafeterias in the cold weather.
London: good memories and seeing friends
London is one of my favourite cities, I lived there for a year and I enjoy it so much. Going to musicals, tea time with some cupcakes, going shopping in markets and visiting friends. It is always something new to discover, this time I joined a Jack the Ripper tour.
Glasgow: first time in Scotland and going local
We have been friends for years with Helen and this year I went to her home in Glasgow, Scotland. It was a relaxing weekend, discovering Scotland, food and going local with her who showed me around Glasgow and Edinburgh.
I had so much fun and also discover a place through the eyes of a native inspired me to create my first Scotland miniguide, with all information and tips, everything I could observe and do in there. Above all I loved home made food, steak pie with veggies yummy!!
Sardinia: beach and italian food, this is paradise
I went to Sardinia once but this time I really enjoyed it, we hired a car and we went around the north of Sardinia. Amazing food, anywhere we had great food and enjoyed ice creams, desserts, pasta, pizza and fish and seafood.
Barcelona, discovering my city
I am so proud of the activities I have done this year in and around Barcelona. Sometimes you think you know your city but there is so much to explore. So I took the time to do different activities such as: Going a panoramic tourand having a medieval dinner in a medieval palace -Palau Requesens-.
Girona and Costa Brava: my first TBEX and Hostal Empúries I loved it!
2012 has been the year of a lot of first things, one of them my first TBEX. I enjojyed so much my stay at Girona and gave me the opportunity to discover the city and I bumped into a travel book shop one of my favourite things. In Tbex I had the opportunity to know Hostal Empúries in Expedia party and I was very interested in the sustainable principles they followed. So I packed my bag and went to stay with them in Hostal Empúries for a weekend.
Here we are Jesús and I ready for a spa session and relax!
Marrakech: cultural shock and Africa discovering
This is the last travel we have done this year in December. It was a bit of a shock being the first time we were in Africa and also in an arabic country. We went before to Istanbul, but it is something else, very Europe so it doesn't count. We loved the food in Marrakech and it was an experience of flavours and smells. Mint tea is absolutely delish!!
