The Barcelona card is the city's official visitor card that allows you to visit Barcelona at your own pace and offers savings in different attractions. The card also features free travel on public transport and free and fast track entry to some museums. There are discounts on visits and tours, as well as restaurants and shops among others. The Barcelona card is available from 2 up to 5 consecutive days and it gets activated the first time you use it.

How does it work?

Once you have the card in hand, to start using it you need to write the date you will start on the front of the card, and then it will be valid from this date and on the following consecutive days included.

The card is available from 2 to up 5 consecutive calendar days, please note that the card does not take into account 24 hours periods, so start using it as early as possible in the morning so you take the most of it. The card is individual and cannot be transferable.

To benefit from the attractions and discounts, you need to show your Barcelona card, with the validated start date in the ticket office or entrance of the restaurant, museum etc...

Benefits of Barcelona card

The card offers free entry to museums, free travel on the public transport network and free entrance to attractions and multiple discounts in Barcelona's most visited attractions. 

Barcelona card allows you to travel for free in the Barcelona's public transport network during the validity period specified in the card for Barcelona metro and day buses run by TMB, FGC and suburban trains, tram and Barcelona airport train and Renfe trains in zone 1. 

Note that the transport pass is not valid for night buses, neither for Barcelona Touristic bus, blue tram or Montjuïc cable car. The discounts offered with the travel card cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
