The restaurant
We were looking for somewhere to eat Japanese food and I remembered a recommendation from Blog de Barcelona, a restaurant called Kynoto specialized in sushi. Great atmosphere, very romantic not a lot of light, only 7 tables in the upper floor and then downstairs there is a counter where you can sit in the stools.

The food
We ordered Japanese empanadillas and chicken brochettes for starters and then as a main dish we ordered 2 vieras nigiris and a roll with prawns.
We were amazed on how good it was, my boyfriend does not like blue fish and he said in the end he would give it a try next time in Kynoto as vieiras and prawn rolls were so good. We paired up this great dinner with a white wine, a Verdejo.
There is currently a 15% discount if you book a table through Restalo.es (13/02/2013), so we took advantage of the discount.
Lovely service, nice waiter that explained everything we got on our plate and also recommendation on portion sizes.

The area: Carrer correu vell and plaça dels traginers
The area where the restaurant is located is also a great spot to go for a drink after the dinner and also go for a walk. Have a look at these tiny shops, graffitis and hippie style.

In Traginers square is still standing a part of the roman fortress from IV century, a tower that used to protect the city.
My recommendation is to go explore the area and then sit down to eat an amazing sushi at Kynoto. Tell me about it when you try it out!
